Thank you for all your comments. Again today it is 11.35 and the mail has yet to arrive and the Royal Mail customer service refused to provide a local number so that I could speak to the manager and try and come to some sort of arrangement. I am in the Public Sector and my clients require their mail to be delivered timeously. I may well pop into the sorting office personally and try to see if they need some help with their time management and priorities.
Does anyone from Royal Mail who could resolve the issues ever access this forum?
