Because e-Registrars.com keep spamming us, therefore the name e-Registrars.com must be associated with spam?

Hows that then Mr Clive

hahahahahaha. ah well. I still think its a good idea

With all these people trying to spam others, wouldn't it be a good idea to put together a thread that people could use as a reference, or to post their latest email spam attempts? It would be a great way to keep people in the know, and if any new emails start making their rounds they could be added to the post?

I'm just not sure of the attention it would get though. But it has advantages methinks. Maybe, in the end, they will stop their nonsense and leave our emails be?

I don't even open my mail anymore unless I know I'm getting mail from friends or the forum. After my last experience with my email, I generally delete everything summarily, unless I know where they come from.

That being said, I'm sorry these people are targeting you. It sounds like you have your hands full.
Metallica & Lou Reed 27th June 2011 10:30 AM
sang "Perfect Day",
"Walk on the Wild Side" (on the Transformer album produced by Bowie)
In the early days, he fronted The Velvet Underground.

Don't forget, make sure I'm on your team if you're in a music quiz

lol, we'd make a good team methinks. I would have to either consult youtube or my vinyl collection. Maybe he's been around my collection the whole time. Mind you I have manyfrom the early fifties to I think the late 80's.

If there are any questions about Lou Reed?, they're all yours

Could you not just export the blog and set it up on your own wp site, should be just a straightforward import?

You can have all your gucci plugins and functionality then.

Don't ask me about content though, I'm a lazy blogger

lol I have spoken to my boss about it all. He's busy these days so, it seems its all on hold for now. I just thought there might have been a better way. ah well. the drawing board awaits it seems thanks guys

What's the purpose of the blog, are you trying to build a resource or just putting your thoughts on a subject that you like on the internet?

Its a bit of both. the blog is mainly there to promote our product, but I have not only been doing that. I try give some insight into why systems like the one we create are important, how they could be used properly in business, I even give a little business advice once in a while. I once did a post on cloud computing that was well received. I just feel that full on flogging a product on a blog gets mundane and it leaves you with very little to say after you've covered every angle. So I try mix it up a little and let people see the real value behind systems, giving them examples and such so that they can form their own opinions.

maybe I've taken the wrong approach entirely.
Google rankings 25th June 2011 11:25 AM
Hi there. It sounds as if you are asking about back links to your site? This is one of the important things that you would do after you've optimized your site and submitted to search engines and directories etc.

Back linking is easy for the most part, its the amount you need to do that makes it tough. A back link is a link on another site that points back to yours. There are many ways you could do this as well, through writing articles (you would be able to link in the resource box), Blog posts and comments, forum signatures.

All you need to do is make sure the link is anchored to your chosen keyword, and that where ever you have the link posted, that the site its on is relevant to your keywords and the business you do. I would also recommend that you steer clear from link farms. Many people say that they can boost page rank for you by placing your links on their pages, but this ends up being sites that have nothing but links on a page that has no other content.

Hope this helps.

lol Not sure how else to put it, but here goes. I am having problems with our blog. It's not domain owned and runs off WordPress itself. I recently had the pleasure of setting up a blog that was domain owned and the amount of plugins you can use to boost traffic and SEO is astounding, where on wp itself you don't have that at all.

My question is an easy one.. kinda. I cannot perform anything other than the basic SEO on the page, and even though I work myself to a standstill back linking to the blog, it still gets no attention. I try get to a new post every week, but with my workload, I'm surprised I know what my name is most days.

So, how would I make it popular, guerrilla tactics? Blog commenting? My posts aren't mediocre lol its just the topics are almost always serious and business oriented because of the work our company does.

TBH if it could only be as easy as the work I did on our main site I might not have this problem, and the blog would do as well, but I don't have access to anything so i only have the links pointing back, and the blog itself to work with.

Any ideas?
Yep, probably going to get done for being oldist by the thought police, but it does seem to be old folk with too much time on their hands that seem to be the main culprits!

At least now I know it's an international issue and not just my street!

I'd say. Truth be told, nothing besides living in your own fortress is going to stop you from being bothered by someone in your neighborhood. So it's best to just try hard to stay out of their way, which is not the easiest thing to do either when all you want to do is when they start with their nonsense. lol
Did SA have the same financial crisis that the US and UK suffered? ie local banks having to get bailed out to stop them going bust?

Sounds like toxic debt is a global issue, mortgages that can't be repaid etc.

SA was badly affected yes. We had a few of our most rock solid banks applying for relief from our reserve bank. Some of our biggest stores had to downscale big time, closing down stores in areas and only keeping a hand full open. Things are coming right slowly, but you can still clearly see that we are "healing".
