TV Licence - Businesses Be Aware ! 10th February 2016 10:52 AM

Opened the post the other day - letter from TV Licensing

Warning: this unlicensed business address is being investigated

Ok i thought, we don't have TV's in the office and we don't watch any programme's through our PC's/laptops.

Just out of curiosity i turned the page over and read the small print.

Did you know that if you have a visitor that uses their mobile or laptop to watch TV that you could be liable for prosecution?

Here's the bizarre twist - if they are watching it from their battery power then they are responsible for watching it off their own licence.

HOWEVER if they have plugged in the device to YOUR power then you become liable for unlicensed use!!!!

Can imagine a super sleuth stood outside the office now... watching....waiting .....

Does Anyone Care About Bing? 10th February 2016 9:33 AM

Hi Tom

Dont know if i am talking out of turn, but did take a call yesterday from a company that was doing citations on behalf of Bing.

Reason i am saying anything is that i tried to place our sister company into their categories but was told in no certain terms that ALL of their categories were Americanized.

Ok i accept that they are owned by Microsoft and that they are an American based company etc, but surely if they want to take on Google they can't be as narrow minded and expect everyone outside the USA to adopt their categories.

Soooo, on that basis why would a UK based company bother with Bing?

Have to be honest, was never a huge fan.

Liked him even less when it was reported that he was the ONLY celeb being paid to host Children in Need.

Still its sad as more & more of our "childhood" personalities appear to be dropping off. Beginning to feel my age

, never had anything written down in stone though .”

We use paper in our office, my dear, maybe thats where you are going wrong

Saw that this morning and you have beaten to me to posting about it.

I was actually going to come from a different angle and thats why on earth would you advertise that our fleet is, wounded?

Ok we are not at war or anything but we have just made ourselves a laughing stock! Some things are not in the Public interest and the media should refrain themselves sometimes.

Can you image Korean, Russian or China news agencies going Public with problems with their fleets, they be shot on the spot.

Big news today, it made the BBC breakfast News.

One thing i couldn't understand, they had around 10 owners and their varying aged Defenders lined up, all outside the Salford Quays studios. Why wasnt this done in Solihull outside the factory

The Morrisons by me is 97.9p for diesel - the only thing i dont understand, as the below picture shows, there is a Gulf station right on the same island that is always 3 or 4p more expensive - why would you go there?

Thought he was already dead?

Apparently not - looks like there is a pending film about to be released with him in it - as its a live animation, not sure if he is in it or just doing a voice ... won't be seeing it as my kids are older

Well to be honest all the celebs from the 70's either seem to be croaking it, or part of operation Yewtree
