Just slower which means less to do and more time for me. Not a problem really.

I am also sure that a canny employer can do and get away with it provided they have answers and evidence that justify the individual decisions turning down younger folk. Bear in mind that a lengthy track record will begin to provide evidence...

It may be more difficult in some jobs (e.g. factory process workers) who only need to do a limited repetetive function and do not need to interact with others as the selection criteria are so much narrower than when social/communication skills are necessary.

You don't need the Bribery act to be done for trying to bribe a Police Officer - it is called perverting the course of justice.

It may have some use but it is still a bit of a gimmick.

A proper look at all the rules and regs and how they apply disproportionately to small business and then get rid of as many as possible would help more.

I think one of the hardest/most difficult issues is maternity/pregancy.

I am not sure how this can be easily unravelled to allow small business to avoid all the bad ramifications but it is such a big problem.

A lot depends who you are moving from and too.

Smaller to bigger - experience + better company
bigger to smaller - had experience of big - want to apply in a newer/up and coming/etc company with more chances to grow into etc etc

It is about saying the right things well and not saying daft things.

This might be a worry for peeps gaining contracts abroad using intermediaries. Not a big worry for my line of work
