Hard Day at the office. 16th June 2011 8:42 PM
Well, my day started at 06:00 and I had to drive to a prison, lets say about 3 hours from home. On arrival I was told that my legal booking was not confirmed, waited for about an hour to be told I could go in. The chap in question was brought to our interview, the purpose being for me to prepare a Parole report. This chap has already served 8 years and this was his first Parole application. Guess what, after about 4 mins, a prsion officer (doing his job) knocked on the door and said 5 mins please. Well, I am good but even I can't write up a case history in less than 10 mins. I was asked to leave anyway and drove back to the office Hull (3 hours) sat at my computer for about 10 mins before exploding, shouting "bollocks" at the top of my voice and driving home. It is now 20:40, I have moaned to my wife, drunk a full bottle of wine, shouted at my idiot son and decided to walk to the off licence to get more wine. The moral of the story, we wonder why the country is on its **** when it spends so much on sending me all over the country to write a report that won't get read, that is about a man who should possibly stay in prison for another eight years before letting me go home, in a mood to get pissed and shout at my son who thinks he is living in a fecking hotel! Oh my wife has now told me that I am pissed, I am, her observation skills are that good do you think she can write the report for me?

I agree with dreamraven, when i built the Hornsea Ink Shop web site, I was told by many to build links, add to forums and post blogs without any thought to the quality, purpose or content etc. When I arrived at my local forums (here), I was told by steve not to "pitch" or spam. Having taken the warning on the chin I started to read the forums and began to learn..the website (Hornsea Ink Shop) has grown in the last 6 months, it appears on the first page of google and I am getting orders. My point, join in, listen to the advice given and contribute to the community.
Ink Cartridge Refilling 6th January 2011 5:01 PM
Ink and toner is a little more sophisticated now and a lot more expensive!

However, in this time of austerity I may just have to suggest your idea to my bosses at work, you never know it could save me from the inevitable cut-backs!
Do you read flyers through the post? 20th November 2010 8:18 AM
for me, it makes sense to let the accountant do our books. I try to keep costs down by making it easier for him by keeping good/clear records etc.
In terms of flyers, we have hand delivered in our local area and the response has been very good. I guess it is important to make your message clear because much like the net/web pages many people will only "scan" a flyer and if they don't see anything of interst within a few seconds it will end up in the bin!
good luck
printers 2nd November 2010 1:00 PM
As others have said, the main issue ispurpose. Business often use toner/laser that produce better quality and high speed. However the running costs are very high even when the compatible cartridges are used.

For home use, most HP, Lexmark and Dell inkjet printers produce good quality and good speed, however the cost of print head type cartridges are also expensive. Expect to pay in excess of

Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
Mark Twain

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
