Lots of views but not much conversation? 20th October 2014 11:24 PM

Doesn't time fly..... I've actually been on here 4 years and its good to see new members finally participating on the forum. I think if forum members were to hang around a little bit longer than the normal 10 quick posts and drop a link brigade then overtime the forum becomes better. Maybe it should be if after the initial 10 posts if a member hasn't posted or participated in over say 6 months - year they should be deleted...

Yes I switched it off for a reason was getting far to many emails from SEO geeks called John or Lucy from India who all seem to sign off by waffling about can spam. On the assumption that I've never had any link building done for my site and nor am I likely to I took a guess that it might be coming from here. I'm still not sure though...

It's  always been about referral fees, these sites cannot make money without their fee. Years ago I applied for a loan via one of these sites got an interest rate of around 7% signed up got to the end of the process and rate had suddenly risen to 15%

Hi Paul

It's an uphill battle but we are getting there  As a thank you for your contributions to date, I've upgraded you to a full listing with us, which also means your web link shows now in your forum signature.

I'll start offering the same to other regular contributors as an incentive, but this will also revert back to a free listing if contributions prove to be short lived  ”

And what do you get for contributing for nearly 3 years?

Well I'm going to be shredded in a minute, due to the fact that I need to take one for her annual vaccinations and to do this I need to wear some gauntlets to protect myself, she absolutely hates being lifted up. Have had to do this for nearly 10 years now and it's not something i look forward to. But she's getting the full treatment today shampoo, wash and blow dry followed a needle in her back. I shall sit back and watch the vets / nurses earning their money with a grin on my face and enjoying every minute of it...

One bit of information I hadn't realised is that apparently in evolutionary terms, the domesticated cat is still 50% wild; whilst the domesticated dog is 100% domesticated.

That accounts for their relative independence;even the most pampered tabby is potentially a killing machine; whereas the dog is pretty much hopeless left to its own devices, food wise.”

Eh? How many dogs are put to sleep each year for attacking people including their owner? And how many cats are put to sleep for the same reason? I know which one I feel safer with, besides if they ever bit me they'd get a size 9 where the sun doesn't shine, which one of mine can testify to..

So Steve how did the helicopter advertising work out? Taking into account no ones going to see it once it's airborne...

I can't say I'm convinced that we are out of a recession as wages are still to low and the cost of living to high and this is why the B of E has not put up interest rates, if it did put them up there will be repossessions up and down the country. I think that for a lot of UK workers they are living on a week to week existence with little or nothing left at the end of the week. One small tweek of the interest rates would see these peoples lives turn upside down over night.

Not a fan of adsense at all, i guess it suits sites such as MLF which isn't trying to sell a product or a particular service. If I were to have it on my site visitors would be clicking links to various competitors which kind of defeats the object.......
