I have always struggled with trying to get a tag line for my site.
So after talking to Steve he suggested I start a thread as there are some smart cookies on MLF when it comes to the written word.

Might not be the answer you're looking for, but at first click on the site, I thought "Let's find you a new job" was your tagline.

Making a tag line doesn't really come over night. For example on our tag sale website it deals with finding and advertising sales. So one day it just clicked: Find, Post, Sell.

The best advice is to find your niche go to a thesaurus and use Google's keyword tool to find similar words and actionable phrases that may tie in well with your website that isn't too long but remembered easily.

Who are you targeting the most - individuals or the recruiters?
Or both equally?

Sorry... ...trying to figure out your key target market!

its a carefull juggling act is the answer to that question. no candidates means no recruiters and vice versa.

Okdokey, combined brain storming from Mr & Mrs Steve..

Our ideas:

Jobs Vitae
Finding a new job doesn't have to be hardwork
Take control of your future
Making finding work easier
Find your job the easy way
Finding work the easy way
Straightforward search
Working for your future
Take control
Taking control
Making your search easier
Make your search easier
Your recruitment search engine

Mrs Steve doesn't like the current one, "Lets find you a new job" and also says there should be an apostrophe in Let's.

Personal favourite, "Making your search easier"

Thanks Mr and Mrs Steve.
I really like

JobsVitae.co.uk
Finding Work The Easy Way

the spelling is due to the duffer techy MD.
the line is meant to be a call to action to get them to fill in the search form.
previously it was "Lets find your dream job"

Her who must be obeyed suggests trying it with out the capitals.

But looks good.

Anyone else got any thoughts?

Capitals will send the message home, logo is for jazz, strapline is for impact, think Mrs Steve is a smart lil cookie!
