I have been using Whitegates for many, many, years now to let out my property. I find Whitegates, especially Chan Khangura, to be utterly helpful and reliable at all times. I can contact him immediately if need be, his staff also are excellent and pleasant to speak to on the 'phone. Nothing is too much trouble for them. As soon as a new tenants have to be found, this is dealt with quickly and efficiently. If any repairs need seeing to, these are also seen to immediately. Before finding Whitegates I had used several other estate agents in Huddersfield and found them falling far short of what they had advertised about themselves. I feel totally confident and happy with the service Whitegates have given me over the years and would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Absolute disgrace of a letting agents!
We were made to sign an inventory before they would even give us the keys!
They provided us with 2 different sets of meter readings, all which were completely wrong, lower than the ones they EDF were given on the 28 April 2017 when we didn't move in until 24 June 2017!
Front door handle hanging of when we moved in, which they have had to fix twice now!
Mould all along the walls throughout the property, initially they denied it and then slipped up and accidently said there was mould. Which they still haven't removed a month later!
There was a hole in the wall which they initially refused to fix until I asked for the council to get involved.
Parking permits for the private on site parking were given to us which expired in January 2017, apparently this is acceptable, so we have to find alternative parking until they got one.... then more arguments and they finally got the second one!
The house was absolutely filthy when we moved in with entire rooms filled with other peoples crap and dirt, dust and stains everywhere!
Staff rude
Maintenance man was meant to come out, clean all the high beams and replace all the lights not working. Still more lights not working than working! Noticed they charge for bulbs being out when moving out too!
Genuine disgrace of a company no apologies or anything else was given once!

We are writing in response to your comments posted. I will respond to each of your points in turn.
It is standard practice to sign an inventory before we give you the keys, we do also provide yourself with an inventory which you have 7 days to return along with your comments and photographic evidence of any amendments you wish to make.
In terms of the repairs you reported a few issues in which we acted on very quickly, Fill in hole behind door & paint Replace various light bulbs Front door handle to fix, Clean the high beams in the living room all these repairs was instructed and was all completed by 7th July. There is still on on-going repair to the windows, as you can appreciate Quarry Bank Mills is very large development which needs a specialist window company to attend to identify why they may be leaking (causing some slight mould to the brick work) we would like to resolve the issue before removing any mould which may occur again, any surface mould can be removed with hot bleach water. Repairs are chasing up the company and we have also tried to call yourselves but to no avail to discuss this.
The apartment was taken as seen, as fully furnished, if any furnishings / utensils etc are not wanted this would have had to be agreed before you agreed to take the property (on the pre contract offer) in which they wasn?t, However we negotiated with the landlord and some items was agreed to be disposed off. The apartment was very clean and tidy however a professional clean was not requested by yourself.
In regard to the metre readings we provided yourself with 2 metre readings as metres having 1 and 2 readings, the readings was taken on 29th June, we was unable to access the metre cupboard beforehand and we apologise about this, this would work within your favour as you moved into the property on 24th.
Please can you advise which staff members were rude and we can look into this and address this accordingly, as the larges letting agent in Huddersfield this is not something we condone.
