Completely useless. Stayed on the phone for nearly an hour, then got onto a chatbot who asked me if it was about my personal allowance, and then said it was unable to help if that were the case, then tried through the 'Gateway' which couldn't process my inquiry until I told them what my personal allowance should be changing to. THIS IS WHY I WAS CALLING THEM. If any tax collector sees this, can you please tell me what to do in order to change my personal allowance.

10 minutes waiting then Simon answered - was not able to answer my query but made several calls resulting in arranging a Technician to call me back within 48 hours. Was treated well and appreciated his solution to my query.

On the phone for over an hour to get fast recorded message phone again and again to be able to give them a national insurance number give them insurence number which machine cant except then wait for all the automated service talk which had nothing to do with me for them to hang up and say their advisors are busy and to call again.. I keep getting double taxed for no reason but they are quite enough to chase you with phone calls, letters and voice mails if you owe them any money... this service is horrendous and geared up to fob you off and this from a public service.. No wonder people work cash in hand..

I wasted over an hour with automated answering machines that didn't recognise what I was enquiring about(double tax entreaty form needing an official stamp),only to eventually be told it will take up to 6 weeks before the form if returned. Totally unacceptable all round
