Epilepsy Expert

Dr Mirza has extensive experience and expertise in assessing, investigating and managing the full range of neurological symptoms and conditions. He is a super-specialist in the assessment of seizures, and treatment of epilepsy, and regularly assesses and assists patients with difficult-to-treat epilepsies referred by other neurologists. Additionally, he co-leads the regional adolescent epilepsy clinic, where he sees young people with often complex severe genetic and syndromic epilepsies, referred from hospitals throughout the region. He has won numerous awards during his career, such as the MRC Centenary Award, and the Uschi Tschabitscher Prize from the European Neurological Society and the European Federation of Neurological Societies.
