The Crewe & Harpur is a charming 17th century coach house set between the medieval villages of Swarkestone and Melbourne. Relax and unwind in the peaceful surroundings of our beautiful beer garden, set beside the waters of the River Trent. Enjoy an exciting menu in relaxed surroundings with a great wine selection, as well as a range of soft drinks and spirits. We boast an excellent selection of cask ales, from Marston’s five breweries. With easy access to the M1, M42, A38 and A50, there aren’t many hotels in Derby that are more suitably located than The Crewe and Harpur. Guests find themselves within a 15 minute drive of Derby, less than 30 miles from Alton Towers and within seven miles of East Midlands Airport - making us an ideal spot, for a quick stop over. There are many local attractions close by, including Donnington Park and Denby Pottery. Sleep soundly in a kingsize Hypnos bed, on the Beaumont mattress, which is filled with a wool-silk mix and has a surface which regulates your body’s temperature.
