My passport was in my London office so arranged for its delivery here today. Waited in, and also have 2 dogs that alert us to any visitor when the door bell is rung. Nothing. Then see the "Something for You" card posted through the door saying - "no one was available to sign" so have to collect it from the sorting office tomorrow.
Tried to contact to actual sorting office - impossible.
Delivery man could not have either knocked on the door or rung the bell. There were 2 of us in with 2 dogs, the bell and the knocker both working.
Problem is the trip to France leaves tonight so that's now cancelled. Great.
Even writing this review will achieve nothing.
What a shower.

Attempted delivery of parcel , no calling card left, chased up with the supplier used tracking number to redeliver twice , failed both times , tried to ring to speak to a human kept on hold for twenty or so minutes both times , appalling service ....

I knew I would be working on the day of my delivery, so I arranged for the parcel to be delivered to my workplace. Staff were available in the reception area but they tell me that no one came in with a parcel. I received an email to say that the addressee had not been available and the parcel had gone to the delivery office. I couldn't find anything on the email to indicate whether a re-delivery would be attempted on another day. I went online and checked that the delivery office was open (it was and there was a green sign on the site saying 'open') but when I called the telephone number, the message said the office was closed. I decided to contact the sorting office to see if they had another number I could try for the delivery office. Again, the site said that they were open, but when I called the message said that the offices were closed. I don't know if my parcel will be re-delivered on Monday and am reluctant to organise a delivery for Tuesday using the automated system, in case this prevents my parcel going out on Monday. Very poor service.

So I get home and find a card through my door, saying parcel delivered and couldn't get through letter box, and we have taken it back to the sorting office - in the past they have been left with my neighbours but not this time - even though neighbour is home ! So ive now tried to get a redelivery tomorrow - but it says I cant have it till Thursday - so ive now got to wait till tomorrow then drive a round trip of 28 miles !!! Really helpful, weird thing is im not expecting any parcels as I have all parcels delivered to my work address NEVER my home address as I work all day !!

On Saturday 5th November I was expecting a delivery and when I checked the result was as follows "attempted delivery but as no one was home a card was left telling me to collect from DO.
But as I was at home all day on that Saturday I can assure you that no attempt was made and no card left, so I can only assume that the driver/Postman did not even try to deliver.
And as no card was left I have no way of collecting parcel.
service stinks
I give it a zero

In the absense of a human to talk to about this, I am sharing my experience with the mail person who delivers in the Rembrandt Way area of Bury St.Edmunds. He came to my door this morning with a package. As I have a very excitable dog, I opened the window next to the door to take the parcel. He ignored me for a full minute before telling me to "open the door". I refused and told him to pass the package through the window. He had a very nasty attitude, for no apparent reason. I asked for his name while I was signing, which he refused to give me. He then told me holding his signing equipment was theft, and he could report me for it. This is not the first time this individual has been less than cooperative, and his reputation is well known in this area. The older man who delivers to us occasionally is nice, but this younger skinny one is simply obnoxious. Any chance of swapping them?

I have to say that recently the post delivery has dropped from very good to not so good. Recently I have received post not addressed to me or my house number, other neighbours have received my post and had to bring it round or I go and get it and also that sometimes the post is not put right through the door and is left hanging.
This could end up with somebody else from outside pulling my post out and taking it themselves.
I think the post person we had has either left or been re-assigned to another round. He was excellent. (post round includes Bury Park Drive)
Please train your staff to do their job more professionaly.

To The Manager of Bury Sorting Office. Could you please pass on my sincere thanks to Mat Blackbourn.( Our Postman) I left to go to Ipswich for an appointment and I forgot to lock my front door on 28-11-2015. AM. Mat dropped off some post and noticed that the front door was not closed, he was able to close the door to make it secure and had left a note through the door to explain. He has been our postman for approx. 4-5years and is brilliant, he always has a smile even though the weather is bad he carries on with his work and never moans. Thanks for his good service, could you pass on our thanks to him. Regards Mike and Diane.

Since recent reorganisation of postal practices, I have had several packages, from different Amazon locations, disappear into the Royal Mail system. The only common factor is my local sorting office. Can somebody explain how "improved efficiency" can make things so much worse???

I ordered flowers for my Mother for Mothers Day, You never delivered to them on Saturday as she was not in, you did not even leave them with a neighbour, she now has to wait until Wednesday to receive them, the postman would have known that they were flowers for Mothers day, I find your service absolutely disgusting and the postman incompetent of his job and I will never order flowers again which use Royal Mail as their couriers. I ordered some for my other Mum and they left them near her door, great service down south! I am a very unhappy customer, very poor service.

What is the point of having a telephone number to speak to someone about ongoing problems with our mail if no one answers.

Many thanks to the staff member who found my daughters purse, notified me, and returned it by special delivery. I am sorry I did not get his name, but he phoned me about 6pm on 11/1.
Fantastic customer service
