Discovered when on holiday in Scarborough some years ago and found their 'over-the-counter' service, range, staff attitude of the highest standard. I visited The Backy Shop website to purchase some of the Auld Kendall rolling tobacco as I like something a bit different from time to time.I've ordered it elsewhere in the past but these guys have by far the biggest range on offer.They've also got,it should be noted,a much larger range of other tobaccos on offer than anyone else that I've seen.Whatever you're looking for you'll find it here.My order was proccessed and dispatched within two hours and arrived at my door 18 hours after I placed it! Anyone wishing to hear how I enjoy my pipe. please. read on.

It may come as no surprise to those of you who know me, but I, like many of yourselves, love nothing more than an over Indulgent Christmas break. Now let me talk you through it. Starting in November I like to pull my pipes out of their summer storage and clean them, I will then follow this up with a hefty peruse of the Black Swan website. Ill identify 3-4 delicious looking tobaccos and place an order. They will arrive a few days later and I will enjoy my first puff of the year. Coming closer to Christmas I tend to treat myself to a new Christmas pipe to add to the collection. I will then spend the rest of the holiday season enjoying my new pipe with friends in the Christmas market with one of those outrageously large German pints, or perhaps a Mulled wine. and then we go out on a big mad tear but that is optional.

The advice on products is not dressed in salesman speak, it's friendly and had opinion that reassures and helps the online browser.

I purchased a Ronson lighter last year for myself as a treat, sadly the casing broke so emailed to find out if it was repairable. Quick response to queries. Exceptional Customer Service and polite, courteous service, really a delight to deal with. Had a swift response from them with all the information needed to get item repaired. Was given the option to send back to shop to forward for repair, or deal directly with manufacturer, i did the later. Had my lighter back within 3 weeks and as if it were new! I was absolutely delighted.Cannot praise this store enough!

This is a brilliantly well run business with incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable staff as well as superb selection of fine tobaccos. Orders are processed immediately and are always posted out at the earliest possible opportunity. The business ethos makes you genuinely fell as though you are communicating with old friends rather than some impersonal website.
I cannot speak too highly of Black Swan. So if want the best tobacco and an excellent service look no further...this is the place to go.
