The Refresher sewing class was an excellent reminder of basic machine sewing skills and Jen explained everything in a calm, relaxed manner, working with everyone as an individual, taking account of individual requirements. I now understand how to use the different attachments that came with my new sewing machine.

I had an excellent day attending a beginners sewing class last week. I met lots of lovely people (including Jen of course) and gained the confidence to go home and use my own machine. I am now very excited to try and make lots of clothes and accessories in the coming months. I would recommend Jen's courses to anyone wanting to learn how to sew. I am sure I will be back for more classes in the future.....

I attended a vintage embroidery workshop. Jen is extremely knowledgeable about all things sewing and textile art and has lots of examples of projects she’s made to for those attending her courses to look at and get ideas from. She is a calm, patient teacher - ready to provide assistance when / as needed and always has lots of helpful suggestions for what might help or make something even better.

I liked Jen’s laid back but very helpful style of running the workshop. She is very approachable, really experienced, and really open to the participant’s different creative approaches, including my initially very uninspired starting place( due to my feeling under the weather). . I ended up feeling excited and delighted by the end of the course, having learned a number of new skills and felt my creativity received a real boost. Will certainly look for Jen’s courses again.

This is a great introduction to sewing. The class is relaxed and Jen gives clear instructions and explains why you do things a certain way. You can ask questions without feeling daft and there is a great sense of achievement when you make the 3 projects.

I attended the curtain making course and I am delighted with my mini curtain sample made during the course. I got so much guidance and assistance that I feel confident to go ahead and make full sized curtains now. I enjoyed my day.

Attended the beginners sewing course to gain confidence using a sewing machine and learn new sewing skills. This was a great course, I learned so much from it and was confident to come home and start make things myself. Jenn is a great sewing teacher, very knowledgeable, patient and understanding to her students individual needs (especially me! - thank you Jenn!). I would definitely recommend Artisan Stitch and this course for for anyone wanting to learn new sewing/machine skills. It was such an enjoyable course and sad that it passed to quickly . I have now enrolled for another course on how to make curtains, so looking forward to learning more new skills with Artisan stitch! ****

I really enjoyed the cushion making course with zip and piping. I’m not great at sewing and although my brain hurt at the end I was amazed at what I achieved. Everything was provided to make the cushion and the instructions were clear. Jen has a lot of patience and offers good advice and you are able to ask questions as you are going along. The class had a lovely atmosphere and I was delighted with my cushion. I’ve signed up to the six week course so I can learn more.

I thoroughly enjoyed the cushion making workshop at Artisan Stitch. Everything we needed was provided and I was able to take my own sewing machine along which was a bonus. I learned how to neatly put in a zip and make my own piping in a relaxed environment. Jan was welcoming and demonstrated all the techniques she taught us and then followed the session up with providing useful notes as an aide memoir. I will definitely go back and attend some of the other workshops on offer. I would highly recommend workshops and classes run by Jan at Artisan Stitch.
