Was quite amazed to see that anyone has had a problem with Royal Mail Sorting Office in Bridge Street. I've always found the staff here friendly courteous and very efficient. It is a little difficult to understand that Royal Mail is different to the Post Office, which is at the front of the building, and Royal Mail Callers Office at the Side of the Post Office, but the cards are always clearly marked as to how to locate the right place to collect. I have found the morning staff seem to be quicker and know exactly where to locate my parcels. Thanks lads for a great service.

Dreadful service ! Received a card for a parcel stating I needed to pay ?11.24 custom duty at post office collection service .Bridge street, Andover. I then stood in post office (wrong side of building ??? )for 20 minutes waiting to be served, only to be told that I needed to go around the building to the collection point /office (how would I know this ?? ) Met with a friendly guy at the collection office, paid ?11.24 via debit card, guy struggled with payment machine, said it was only installed last week and he does not know how it works (???) and I was given my parcel and debit card and receipt returned. I shredded receipt as I always do , and returned home. a man knocked on our door few hours later, and my in-expecting husband answered to be told that he had to pay ?11.24 as my card was declined. He had no idea what this was about, and dutifully paid the amount and was not given a receipt, and did not ask for one ! I just checked my bank account to confirm more than 1000 times the amount available to cover this amount, and has phoned the customer care office to inform them of this very unusual incident, and to ask for explanation. Some phaffing about as was first told to phone post office not royal mail, then told by post office to ring royal mail ( does anyone know ?? ) and eventually got through to a very helpful lady who took down my details, and said she will forward an email to the office and get back to me, also said no one should have called at the door ?? really worrying !
