Yes it is good to expand, but it is a bit daunting as we are not as busy as we were up here, but we know that there is a lot of work to be had in our field of work in the Bristol area, and so the gamble had to be taken when the chance arose. fingers crossed, and toes, Thanks for the comment it is appreciated

Long apprenticeships are good, that way she wont realise that you have trained her and convinced her that dad knows best and this is really the way forward. my fingers are crossed that it works out

just need loads of work both that end and this.

Thats the thing these days people think they do, but as you say the market moves so fast that if you dont go with it you get left behind.
i must admit that this new office if it works as well as i am hoping then it rekindles old enthusiasm that the recession took out of us.

Cheers, i am grateful for all postings and replies,especially when we know that we are still going forward in these hard times. We have had to adapt and make a few sideways decisions and alter how we trade but we are still winning.
At our main office in Burton area we cover most of the midlands and so to have this office makes good sense. fingers crossed that we dont lose it now that we have got it going, it looks like a few trips up and down the motorway are in order.

I have a daughter that i have been trying to cover the area for a few years now and as we keep getting enquiries from that end of the country it made good sense to encourage her to join. The intention now is to have her run the business for that area and gradually push her to the main running and controlling it before i retire in five years, Then at least she would have a good income.
With the present financial climate as it is, it was a gamble that we had to take, even though people wont spend a lot on treating the problems, the problems associated with Mould are to do with health. But if all fails we still have our Condensation and mould products web shop that is selling goods direct to the customers should they wish to try the treatments themselves in the first instance.

We are pleased with ourselves not only do we now have 5 associated offices that are directly linked to us around the country but running in their own right, but we have just finalised a deal so that we are now trading in Bristol (and surrounding areas) under our It Has 2 Be Done Ltd Banner. This office is mainly for the mould side of our business but will incorporate the initial measuring and introductions of Sempatap Thermal Insulation for us up here in the midlands to carry out the work

We did just that and received a full refund, and so we were happy with the outcome, but not happy about the way we had to do it.
The promises from them could not be met, and so a refund was going to happen sooner or later anyway, we were able to get out of the situation amicably so a good ending happened in this case.
