Well Business Link used to be a good starting point - but they have been closed down - maybe try your Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) if there is one in your area?

It also penalises sites that use advertising other than Google's own.

It contains a filter based on Ad space to copy ratios - sites with too much advertising get hit.

Now the naughty thing is that Google pays the best so someone suffering from panda does guess what? Removes the competitors ads!

Seems like anti-trust activity. Hence some at least of the hoo hah this has caused.
PR is no longer anything to do with SERPS - what it is now about is relevant quality links irrespective of the PR of the page they are on.

I do a lot of testing and see progress when I build useful links, and no progress when I select links based on PR but not relevancy.
Well I would be very careful with the websites you allow on there as they are big on censorship.

I had a .cn.com (or something similar) domain name - but the rules changed and without a china address I was forced to let it expire.

So I would say that the business environment can be unpredictable. That said its a huge country with massive potential for business.
Well don't worry McDonalds will take them all over! They are always looking for more store space
SAAB have been struggling for years - failed to bring out new models for seems like ever - GM were making a heavy loss so they offloaded it.

I'm not surprised that they have continued troubles as the market for new vehicles hasn't recovered much since 2008.

I think a lot of business have survived / are surviving but thats different from doing well!

I used to have constant arguments in my last job and now I earn less but enjoy it more.

My point being that you can organise your life in such a way that you find a balance between hassle stress and earning enough for your family.
Most of those offers rely on people not bothering to claim it back. I remember that hoover did something similar offering free flights to Europe about 10 years ago - unfortunately they took a big hit as 1,000's tried to take the offer up!
yandex.com is the leader in Russia much bigger than Google over there.
