To top it all, my car was broken into last Friday evening, there was glass everywhere.
On a brighter note, the whole process of arranging a replacement window with Autoglass was brilliant. Considering they are such a big company, their customer care on the phone and by the man that did the work was amazing.

I realised that some bits from my door pocket had been left behind when the glass was replaced. I had been meaning to call the technician to say that I would collect them when I was next in the area, but hadn't got round to it.

Well, amazingly, I received a call from the technician last night, saying that he was in my area, and outside my house, as he'd found my belongings and thought he would drop them off. He truly deserves the "employee of the month" award, and a Blue Peter badge.

I was a great fan of his music in the 80's. Well, he's back with a new image, and looking OK. He now plays guitar as well, and is putting on a gig with his new band, "The Good, The Mad & The Lovely" next week in London.

Mr Cholmondley-Warner 15th December 2010 7:52 AM
Did anyone see this old footage of London in 1942 on the news last night? Amazing, but the old commentary always puts me in mind of Harry Enfield's Mr Cholmondley-Warner.

Are Cold Callers Becoming More Aggressive? 13th December 2010 10:30 AM
But business wise, I'll put up with cold calls, I'm always civil, and will politely say no thanks. But I agree, I've had a lot more aggressive type calls over the last few months.

My biggest annoyance is the high volume stuff farmed out to Asian call centres, who start with the standard "can I speak to the person responsible for the telephone bill/elecy/gas" etc.

Yes. What part of "I'M NOT INTERESTED", don't they understand?

Sorry to hear about car, did they get anything of value?

Fortunately not. They clearly don't like my taste in music, as they left my CD's. One of the CD cases has now been taken by the police for finger prints.

We concluded that they were either trying to steal the car, or were looking for a satnav.

Orpington back streets have six inches on all pavements and our close has a 6foot pile where the snow plough left it!

My car hasn't seen my house for a week and a half now. I've had to park in the High Street.

To top it all, my car was broken into last Friday evening, there was glass everywhere.

What is Gray Hat SEO? 7th December 2010 11:24 AM
I have found this posted on: What are your definitions of white hat, gray hat and black hat SEO?

Everything that is not allowed by Google is Black Hat SEO

Everything that is allowed by Google, but frowned upon, or is not allowed by Google, but is done in such a way that it is hard for them to penalize you for it, is Grey Hat SEO

Everything that is done according to the Google Guidelines is White Hat SEO

Well its still snowing and the shops are running out of milk. 6 inches last night and going to be -7 tonight.

Orpington is a ghost town and the roads have more people walking on them than cars, reminds me of my childhood, lol.

Yes, indeed my car registered -7 when I set off at 5am today. My car bleeps at me when there is a risk of ice, so it's been bleeping every time I start it up for days now. Strangely, the bandwidth for this alert is between -3 and +3. So, this morning it didn't decide to alert me to "risk of ice" until I was nearly at work at a comfortable -3.
