Thought it was just me who emailed themselves..... Obviously not Must admit, since getting the ipad I've done away with bits of paper being left all over the place...

I don't think we'll see any issues until interest rates start rising, with wage rates stagnant and the cost of living having risen, repossessions are just around the corner. The booming economy will be irrelivent to many whose main concern is keeping the roof over their heads... Not forgetting that the country is still billions in debt and will remain so for the foreseeable future.... So no tax cuts.

Ok curiosity has got the better of me..... How did you take the photograph of the Airbus and the Red Arrows? Or did you do a fly past in your private jet?

I got up about 3 times during the night because of the lightning, the garden security lights kept going on an off like a flipping 1980s disco in the end I just got up and pulled the plug on them..

I changed my insurance company for the van last November only because the existing one kept putting it up. So anyway I shopped around online and saved around £300-£400. Anyway 3 weeks prior to this someone had dumped a stolen motorbike down the side of my garden, no one in authority cared less and didn't want to know. So I went online and paid a fee to some company to tell me the insurance company of the bike, I then rang them. The bike owner then got in touch with me and then collected his bike, apart from me no one was out of pocket.

Little did I know at the time that the bikers insurance company was soon to become my new insurer, I then filled out all the forms online with one of the questions being have you had an accident fault or non fault in the last 5 years. Well the one that happened 5 years ago non fault I had forgotten about and didn't declare it. The new insurer then decided to fine me £35 for not telling them! Now as all insurance companies access the same data bases as the police the information is freely available to them and they will always check regardless of what you say on an application form, so there is no loss to them as they do these checks automatically. So I'm not entirely sure as to if they can legally start dishing out fines. All I know is, is that this year they won't be getting my money, even if they are the cheapest...

I'd be surprised if the majority of people in Scotland vote for independence I just don't see what they have to gain. I think as far as the rest of us are concerned the Lib-dems are finished after their brief period of sharing power, they killed themselves over the student fees debacle and they will never recover from that, so they'll revert back to being either the third or possibly the fourth political party. UKIP had a golden opportunity to build on the local election success but seem to have gone a bit quiet, when in reality they should be pounding the streets getting their message across to voters.

Labour, for the life of me, I cannot see why anyone would vote for a party that took this country to war on a lie, with no one being held accountable for the countless lives lost, not just in this country either Innocent Iraqis also lost their lives. They also bankrupted this country and the unexplained death of Dr David Kelly and we then make the ring leader a middle east peace envoy!

Which leaves us with the Tories, well considering the state of the country when they came into office I don't think they've done to bad. And Ian Duncan Smith should be applauded in the way he has dealt with those on benefits.

Don't have a problem with women being in Parliament or in power, but they need to be there on merit rather than for trying to be PC and I'm not quite sure what any of these women have achieved in their short political careers.... This time next year the general election would have been and gone, so they will only have 10 months in their new positions so hardly long enough to be held accountable for much as no doubt they'll be still passing the buck to their predecessors..

Best thing I ever did was to get rid of this 30 day credit both for customers and myself. I was forever trying to balance books. Once I'd done away with the lot both the bank balance and the cash flow ended up being healthy. And regardless of whether or not I'm dealing with another business or not, they still have to pay a deposit prior to me ordering anything and then the balance on completion. I'd rather lose a customer who insists on having 30 days credit than to risk losing my business. No point in ordering goods if you haven't the means to pay for it at the time....

I'm all for being a bit vigilanti, only over public funded vehicles though. I have no time for double standards and do as I say but not as I do attitude. I'll always report those who abuse their uniform and think they can park where they like and then pop off to do a bit of shopping or get something to eat. Me and the met police complaints department often exchange emails. The result is always the same though... "On this occaission we've give the officer concerned words of advice"

The trouble with quoting for work on this scale is, is the quotations were probably submitted years before the company was awarded the contract, pre-recession prices of raw materials shoot up around the world leaving the quote more or less useless. Also when its taxpayers money funding these types of projects its more or less an open cheque book, the company either folds or is propped up with more funding. The other issue is, most main contractors are just a name and an office, with the majority of the work being sub-contracted out..
