Three orders over two days totally £72. Not bad. Since the beginning of October I have sold over £700 cards, gift paper and other products this is a massive rise in sales for me.

Happy weekend.

Using incentives to make the team work 14th November 2014 7:48 AM

I think my position is very different, I earn an commission on my sales and free to get as many sales as I want, so free to pay myself what I want, plus earn two monthly bonuses one based on my own sales and another on the total sales of my group. In Network Marketing the companies offer incentives to attract their independent Sales teams to increase business for the company, in return we can earn more money and be rewarded with gifts, holidays, cars whatever the company is offering. Plus it helps to increase our own individual businesses. So maybe incentives don't work or are not required in some industries but in Network Marketing it has helped to greatly increase sales across the UK.

Getting excited about seeing Kylie 13th November 2014 12:15 PM

Oh don't go spoiling it Clive, we fans don't care she not the best singer, she just so lovely. And with all the running about she does on stage it will hard to sing live, although the last time we saw her she did sing one song live  even without music. Plus she survived breast cancer, she is a little trouper.

I've always been against 'Incentive Schemes', for me it's simply a case of if someone needs an incentive to get the best out of them then they shouldn't have been hired in the first place.”

I guess some people do need that extra push. When I worked for Argos they had an incentive in store, the Manager would give a box of chocs to the member of staff who sold the most insurance. A few staff did go for it, I couldn't be bothered I guess it was the start of me loosing all interest in the job. But when Phoenix Trading promote an incentive, I get really excited about it. I can use the incentive as a goal to reach. This in turn helps to grow my business. I know other direct sells companies offer holidays and new cars as incentives, if it didn't work they wouldn't do it. The proof is in the pudding, an incentive can bring out the best in people. A company that doesn't need to use incentives must be in a minority nowadays.

Yes I think it's different if an incentive is aimed at am employee, but with these business opportunities we are all self employed so an incentive can help develop our own businesses. My business grew last month because of that incentive.

I recommend the following businesses.

Utility Warehouse, we pay for our gas and electric through them. I find their customer service excellent. We also have cash back cards, so every time we shop at a large number of participating retailers, we get a discount or cash back off our gas and electric bills. They also promote broadband, mainline phone service and mobiles. They guarantee to be cheaper than British Gas and BT and our regional electrical supplier.

Wikaniko, a great company actually started by two successful Utility Warehouse Distributors. The company sell a wide range of Eco friendly, natural and organic products for the whole family, for the home and garden. I use their cleaning products.

Neals Yard. Started using their natural and organic skin care and beauty products recently, they are produced in the UK. Fabulous products, for personal use or as gifts. The men's skin care products are a must have. They have High St shops as well as selling their line of products through Independent Distributors.

Last month Phoenix Trading launched an incentive for their Traders, a free special limited edition Buckingham Palace Christmas Advent Calendar to the top 50 Active Traders. I was in the running but just missed out. This incentive did increase business for the Company. They have a new incentive this month, a special unique Phoenix Diary.

So what do we think about incentives? They do appear to work, it does appear to encourage people to do more.
