A new television series is aiming to increase awareness among smaller firms of the business records they need to keep.

Entitled The Business Inspector, the four-part series is to be broadcast on Five from 10 March at 8pm.

The series is being sponsored by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), although the tax authority does not feature in the programmes and Five has full editorial control over the series.
The programmes will also offer advice on other essentials of good business practice.

Entrepreneur, Hilary Devey will be presenting the shows. She said: "Britain's brimming with creativity, but a terrifying number of businesses go bust each year and this shouldn't be happening.
