Its finally Friday, hope you have all had a good week, and enjoy this pic haha

For those of you that use android phones, you may want to know something about your phone that you may have never known before....

Scientists are reaching out to all android phone users for a very, some might say unusual topic. They are calling upon the users to donate some of their processing power in order to help in the fight against childhood cancers. Now you may be thinking.. how can smart phones help fight cancer? Hang in there I am just about to get to it.

BBC news have reported that the spare computing power of android devices and computers can be utilised to work out which compounds can best fight cancer cells.

This work is part of wider citizen project set up by IBM. The company are now working with the Smash Childhood cancer project to help find cures for many types of childhood cancer, these including:

- Brain Tumours

- Liver Cancer

- Bone Cancer

In regards to IPhone and IOS processing power, the system is currently not available because the company need to test how apps run on the Apple Platform.

The app you need to download is featured in the link below if you are an android user and want to help this project.

Music budgets cut in Schools 9th March 2017 3:28 PM

Nothing annoys me more! BBC news reporting of government cuts for music tuition and lessons!!!

They have said that they want to do this to focus on more academic subjects. I suffered with this exact thing when I was in school and it does frustrate me, I loved music and singing activities at school I did the school jazz band and choir and it never interfered with my grades Some children are not all academic and music may relieve them from the stress of core subjects such as maths and English, yes I do get that these subjects may contribute more as they are important skills for life however if students enjoy their music and music lessons I do not see why they have to be cut or reduced.

Who knows maybe they will actually use music as part of their career in the future!!

Rant over.

Warning: Old 9th March 2017 9:20 AM

The excitement for the new £5 note back in September amazed me; due it being brand new to the UK many people were selling the rare ones on for large sums of money when really you could probably only buy a quarter of your shopping or even less than that with it

However five months later the novelty of the new note has worn off with a lot of people and therefore we come to emotional part of the process where their are very few of the old paper five pound notes left. It is said that there at the start of the year there were still over 165 million paper five pound notes although by the end of spring they will not be legal tender anymore.

So what if you have a secret stash of the old £5 notes that no one knows about Well I may just have the answers you are looking for.

The final cut of for using the £5 notes is May 5th 2017, so if you want to spend your secret stash on something worthwhile you have just under two months to go wild! It is said that some retailers may still accept the notes after the withdrawal date but this will be down to the discretion of the individual institution. If you do not spend your secret stash and are still left with the old notes the one place that will always accept the notes and swap them for the new notes is the Bank of England.

This may be a long distance to navigate yourselves too as the Bank is in London but this is the only place that will exchange your old notes for your new ones.

My advice: Spend your stash while you can
