PAT Testing - what are the requirements? 22nd September 2014 1:03 PM

When i was working in the worst job of all time...Cash Converters...every single item that required a plug absolutely had to be PAT tested.

There was a machine on the premises and after about 5 minutes training from someone higher up we did all the PAT testing ourselves using the machine.

They said it was a 100% legal requirement that all electrical items had a sticker on it saying it had been tested, and when it was tested.

In my end of the Shopping Centre there is O2, EE, Phones4u, Vodafone and 3store almost lined-up next door to each other, with Carphone Warehouse down the other side. Yesterday i saw 3 Phones4u staff working in 3 of the above stores literally 2 days after being behind the counter of Phones4u. I guess someone knew something...
How many hours a week do you work? 13th September 2014 10:14 AM

I returned to my Shopping Centre Unit on the 1st of September.

I am working by myself, every day, no break whatsoever other than to visit the little boys room...

My first day off will be October 18 when 'er indoors will cover while i get a tattoo...so that will be 47 days straight.

I will have 1 day off during Half Term week, and then i will be off on Christmas Day.

So 3 days off between 1 September and 25 December, not counting the website.

Do customers care? No.

Do they take pity? No.

Do they buy? No.

Do they say "ooh, that's great, i love it...will you be here at Christmas? Hell Yes they do!

The growth of the back bedroom business! 13th September 2014 9:48 AM

Hmmm,

Try explaining to Tax Credits that working online from home is an actual real job, and not just playing on the computer, watching Jeremy Kyle...

I'd rather see Deborah Meaden bought out! She is the most annoying woman ever! She never invests on her own....rant over.

Agreed!

URL SUBMISSIONS-SPAM OR REQUIRED? 6th June 2014 7:38 AM

Hi Guys,

On Google where it says to submit a URL, are we to do that every time we change a page or is that Spam?

I'll be changing a few things later (again) when I do is it common practice to submit it, or as I submitted something last week is that frowned upon?
