What Are You Listening To Now? 24th April 2013 8:11 AM

I am listening to some Skillet at the moment.
t would appear that Facebook Home has just surpassed 500k downloads on Google Play since launching on the platform five days ago on April 16. The app

That's according to a report from China Business, which has heard from a source at Foxconn that Apple isn't too pleased with the firm at the moment. If the report is true, the Cupertino company has sent back up to eight million defective iPhones to the manufacturer, describing them as "dysfunctional" and "non-compliant".

All I can say is, thank goodness mine works the way it was intended to

The rest of the post is here at the Inquirer.

What do you think about that staggering number?
While Google Glass is currently out in the wild with testers and developers, the rest of us might have to wait for roughly a year to get hold of the wearable mobile device, according to company chief executive Eric Schmidt.

So testing has started already. Would give anything to know how that's going so far. Have a look at this post here at know your mobile, and tell me what you think. Would you get Google Glass?
I think this kinda ties in with a thread Steve added a while back. but it shows that cyber attacks are on the increase and that literally no one is safe anymore.

The survey showed 87% of small firms experienced a security breach last year - up 10% - and 93% of large organisations had also been targeted.

The post is taken from the Evening Standard, read through it and tell me what you think about it?

In my opinion, this types of promotional products can be precious for promoting business. Opening lines of communication, Drawing attention, Brand recognition, Gift or Re-Gift, Target audience and Sell more or make more.

hmm, ok, then what would your best promotional gift be that you've used?
What's your success rate been like with Linked In? I've had mine for a while now, and nothing really goes on there. Yea, I know, I'm kinda anti social networks, but you've mentioned it twice now, so I'm curious
I think it depends on your type of business.

Pinterest is great if you have something visual. Linked-in is better if your product is more consultation based.

hmmmm, Don't think the OP is using Linked in. I know they're using pinterest, as they are in the photography business.

I still say its how you do things and not what you do. For instance, one of my favorite hobbies in photo manipulation, is to manipulate bits of metal images around a base photograph. I created a horse and a wolf that way. In any case, All I did was add their images to a forum I frequented and asked a few questions, and for feedback etc. Not too long after that, I was asked to write tutorials for the horse image I created, for more than one site.

In that example, Its what I did that got other artists talking, i.e. my metal manipulation. It was an image, placed in a targeted area (an artists forum), where other artists where the people I wanted to talk to. All I needed was the spark that would start the conversation. Which turned out to be my horse and wolf.

So, if you go where your target audience is, give them something to talk about and actually talk to them about it? Chances are you'll gain a lot more than you would just looking at what other quick, cheap and easy ways there are out there to get traffic.

I just wanted to add that you don't really need to add derogatory posts about members, or, more specifically other forum mods and staff. The thread itself is about 3 years old.

Play nicely please
