Sahara rain! 8th April 2014 11:39 AM
Well the recent rain has made mine look the same as before the dust, dirty. I think cleaning cars is a mans obsession

Mans work or not, I enjoy it, kind of therapeutic!

I would love to have 8 hours but my kids have other plans

Ah - bear with it, eventually gets better, or was that when i got divorced

To those that want us to have a Nanny State and are against the death penalty, public flogging or hard labour, have a look at this picture,

According to the Police the picture is too graphic to be released in colour.

Lets hope they catch the scum & they rot in prison, well thats to nice for them but thats all that will happen

Expenses Row Rumbles On 7th April 2014 11:39 AM

I dont know about you but I'm fairly bored of all these rows ongoing with MP's over claiming expenses.

Not really sure what all the fuss is about - its simple if someone is "stealing" money from the Public purse, its fraud, its theft and they should go to Prison, except it seems unless you are an MP. You get the chance to apologise and pay it all back and thats it!!

I know what I will do, not pay any tax for the next 2 years, wait until they catch up with me and say sorry and offer to pay what i owe - what do you think they will say to that!

Transparency & Politics, 2 words that just dont mix. Sack ANYONE that breaks the rules, it really is as simple as that.

Seems as a Nation we aren't getting our 8 hours sleep, well at least 28million of us arent!

Are you one of those that doesn't get a full 8 hours, is that by choice or do you need less?

Personally less than 6-7 hours i'm cranky, but I can sustain around 5 days with only 4 or 5 hours, then I flake out but the leading question is how productive is one with too little sleep.

I think Maggie (Thatcher) famously ran the Country during her reign on 3 or 4 hours if memory serves and she certainly didn't do too bad a job (depending on your red/blue colour of course)

I wonder how many man hours a day are lost due to unproductive staff suffering with sleep deprivation ?

One to get your blood boiling ! 4th April 2014 1:09 PM

The man who has been convicted of killing Milly Dowler has won a £4500 for being assaulted in prison !!

It seems he was attacked in prison in 2009 whilst awaiting Trial for the murder of Milly.

I've said it before, & i will say it again - its time to toughen up our stance and stop pandering to the blame culture & litigious society we live in.

Even the Ministry of Justice are up in arms over this.

Point in question - he is on a double whole life murder tariff - what the heck is he going to do with the money??

I rarely go in to the branch, especially with all the cock-ups I have mentioned before in other posts.

Had a letter recently though stating I had to go in to sort an account for my son as he was now over 16 and needs to disclose details to allow him to get gross interest, so far from trying to do this the convenient postal/online way you HAVE to go in to branch.

What would happen if my local branch was shut down, would they expect me to travel?

Becoming a Non Smoker 2nd April 2014 2:50 PM

Reading in the news earlier that Wales wants to ban ecigs in public places

Not really sure of their logic, are ecigs seen as "real" cigarettes? Yes they contain nicotine but do they really normalise smoking?

Thinking back to when i first started going to pubs i used to go home stinking of smoke, sitting in restaurants and trying to eat while some ignoramus was smoking on table next to me - how different is it today!

I can honestly say if i was in a pub/restaurant now and someone pulled an ecig out it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest!

Did you use these Ray - would it have impacted your desire to stop if they were banned in Public places like "smoking" is?
