I have to admit i got so bored with Politics i actually gave up voting. Sick of Politicians promising me the world, then stealing from the coffers & also charging me for a plug for her bathroom and the odd porn film, yes my MP was her!

But to balance this, i never berated who was in power, i had a natural disdain for whoever was there!

UKIP has sparked life in to Politics as Shakey said, even enough for me to actually want to find out where my local election station is & get off my backside and tick a box - quite whos box i'm ticking i don't know but i have been reading the blurb coming through my letter box rather then filing it in the recycle bin.

Barney - i'm with you and i hope there are several battered & bruised bodies out there, its time they started listening to us a Nation and not treat us like sheep.

This is going to be an interesting election.

How many hours a week do you work? 21st May 2014 10:15 AM

I'm tethered to my desk 8.45 - 5 and maybe do an hour or 2 over the odd weekend but its what you fit in to those hours that counts

Braille phone goes on sale 20th May 2014 2:25 PM

.... Caption on the BBC website made me smile "The Braille phones come in a variety of different colours" ..........

Lmao - didnt see that.

Reminds me of one of the best snooker quotes of all time from the late great "whispering" Ted Lowe

" and for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green. "

Another name has emerged in this scandal, Gabby Logan.

She was reportedly in the same scheme up until 2012, but since left but has vowed to repay any Tax due .

She is also quoted as saying that she was advised of a business opportunity around 6 years ago, which kind of echos what i suspect about the others.

It was a loop hole that has now been shut, and as Ryan said above lets all be honest, if someone advised you of a scheme that helps you keep more of your money and at the time is legal, wouldn't you take it?

Rather worrying article from the back end of last week, especially as we are probably already stocking up from this weekends scorcher!

BBC News - Top end suncreams fail SPF test as cheaper lotions pass

Having just book a holiday in the summer abroad i was looking at which cream to take away with me, although to be fair, i tend to sit in the shade as i'm no sun worshiper, but my son will be plastered in at least factor 30.

Unsure now which brand to trust. Previously i've used the single application stuff for me, as i hate creaming up - just have to watch how much swimming you do then, but i didn't burn last time i was away.

Never really given this much thought to be fair, but with the invention of smart and touch screens mobiles have become unusable for the blind unless you had the Voice over apps

Thinking back to the old keypads, they had the dot on the 5 so a visually impaired person could navigate it but naturally you don't get that on an iphone.

My great uncle was blind and as a child was always fascinated by his ability to read braille, wonder what he would have made of these phones?

BBC News - Braille phone goes on sale

We are all afraid of being classed as racist and the classic, well i have a friend who is this or that so i can't be but in reality Barney has hit the nail on the head.

Its our Country and we should decide what Law we follow, what measurements we want to sell/buy in and who remembers the straight banana scandal - what a joke.

Not sure of the depth of UKIP's actual policies, is it more a case of they are getting us all thinking about picking on only emotive subjects?

Hope they do well on Thursday, if nothing more than to give the other "main 3 " a swift kick up the ar*e !!!

Rubics Cube - 40 years old today 19th May 2014 3:51 PM

Just noticed that the Rubics cube is 40 years old today.

Spent hours trying to solve it - hated that damn thing - never did it without taking it apart & reassembling it!

What did we do before games consoles & PC's?????? My answer, picking up pieces of Rubics cube 'coz i've just thrown it against a wall!

I need your help and advice 19th May 2014 3:39 PM

Maybe it would be worth rephrasing this - asking members if they would use a service themselves for their business and secondly would they be put off making a purchase if such a service wasn't offered by a company?

My 2 pennies - its a straight no & no from me - if i couldn't buy on the night due to a query, i'd be happy to wait until next working day to contact the company to resolve the query

Love them or hate them, the Beckhams are worth a few £'s and their kids certainly don't ever need to work.

But how refreshing to read in the headlines that Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly taken a Saturday job in a local coffee shop to learn the value of money.

Now can you imagine Paris Hilton or Tamara Ecclestone doing the same?

Big thumbs up from me for the Becks morals
