Still waiting

When has 4 days been 2 weeks
“..

in terms of rehabilitative work it could be argued that society should metorpholicaly reach out and hug the hoodie.

..

Pmsl !!!!

Is it p/c to ask if are we allowed to tie the hoodie under his chin cutting off the air supply. Or is that whats caused the problem ????

Good to see you back Ray - you have been missed !

Bring back the stocks !!!!!!

For all you liberal, tree hugging, ban corporal punishment types- this is the result.

A slap on the ass never did anyone any harm. A cuff around the ear by the local beat bobby used to be enough to keep the Police respected.

Our once respected Nation has gone soft, (actually shaking with rage typing this !!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Bewildered at the lack of respect.  Catch the culprits and make them spend the day taking abuse for their pathetic existence in a stock.

Then make them clean their mess before chopping a hand off .........

maybe thats a rant too far

Bond.. Have you seen it yet? Thoughts? 23rd November 2015 1:06 PM

Well - without any spoilers it was an "ok" film.

No it wasn't as good as Skyfall but wasnt as bad as i was fearing after the few people i had spoken to about it.

I think there was a perfect chance to end the Bond franchise with this film and retire off Bond, or even leave that as a veiled threat. Their could have been a way to leave MI6 in disarray ...so many ways of leaving this other than the way they did.

I think Bond has run its course. Perhaps Skyfall should have been the final one. May be with some greater thought Spectre could/should have been better and most definitely Bonds final outing.

They could have remastered all the other Bonds, got the box sets out in time for Christmas and made a shed load of money before calling it a day.

Answer to Steves question - who replaces Daniel Craig - nobody.

THE HOGGING OF THE LANES ON MOTORWAYS 20th November 2015 12:25 PM

Thank you i think that not alot of people know about it,it should be better advertised. No offence they seem to more concerned on other issues.

I think there was a brief news article about it when it first came out but i agree it needs much more publicity and a lot more people need fining to bring it home.

Also part of your o/p totally agree its insane that a new qualified driver can jump on a motorway within minutes of passing a test, driving at stupid speeds, with no experience of fast moving traffic

Just reading in the news that there is a chance petrol could break under the £1 mark over the next 2 weeks or so.

Apparently the average price is around £1.07 but as there has been a dip in the price of crude oil this could be passed on to the consumer within the next 2 weeks.

With your bigger supermarkets already dropping below this it wont be long surely until we see 99p a litre again?

THE HOGGING OF THE LANES ON MOTORWAYS 20th November 2015 9:59 AM

Its actually been illegal for 2 years now to "hog" the middle lane although until June of this year no one has actually been fined/convicted of said offence.

Upon checking my facts the award for the first recorded fine for middle lane hogging was given to a chap in Manchester. A total fine of £940 (£500 fine, £400 court costs £40 victim surcharge) & 5 points added to his once before clean licence.

According to the Police he was driving in an "inconsiderate manner" for several miles and appeared to refuse to move over to the inside lane despite having ample opportunity to do so.

I am a firm believer of not allowing new drivers on the motorway until a secondary test or at least a professionally supervised session of driving has taken place. Also restrict the engine size of new drivers, very much like they do with motorbikes.

Bond.. Have you seen it yet? Thoughts? 19th November 2015 11:47 AM

I'm taking my youngest on Sunday to see it - so I will report back.

Managed to avoid all the spoilers so far

Is it me or has this massive issue suddenly gone quiet?

I got my letter telling me my car was affected and they would be in touch soon.

Drums fingers on desk impatiently

English Football 18th November 2015 12:46 PM

Actually proud to be British, well English to be precise.

Didn't actually watch the England v France game last night but did see the News and saw the best part of 70,000 English & French fans united in the singing of the French National Anthem.

It isn't often you can say you are proud of the English supporters but last night both French and England supporters united in defiance and grief at the weekends atrocity.
