Hmm interesting point re bad payers - had my share of those over the years!

Just sitting on the fence here , my only comment is though if you charge per visit and you have only been once then "technically" you arent out of pocket are you? Ok i understand that the critters may return and if they do no doubt you will get called back but are you actually owed anything from the 1st visit?

Or am i missing the point ?

I was always told in my English class to sign off a letter yours sincerely if you had addressed it to someone or yours faithfully if you started dear sir.

Was also taught never to start a letter Im writing to .... - its obvious you're writing 'coz im reading it lol

Come on someone - why do we use these terms?

I read this news snippet with interest, being in the mars a day club (and still being able to fit through the door ) - to be honest i dont know what all the fuss is about.

Seems this isnt a new craze and by all accounts its a 1 time thing, try it and probably never go back .... not quite sure why Mars are getting so upset.

May be the question should be once you by a product does the manufacturer of said product have the right to dictate how that product is eaten?

Mine had all their shots and both are fine as a result, cant understand parents not taking FREE vaccines when they are available. As with all medicines a very small % of people will suffer a reaction but 99.9% of cases will be fine - i know what odds i will/did take!

Heres one for you Barney - heard quite a few stories about heating engineers/plumbers turning up on site - then going off to get parts, meanwhile the meter on the hourly rate is ticking.

Whilst i accept you cannot carry every single part for every single job is it fair to charge whilst out collecting parts?

Think i read one story that was a fairly simple case of a small part being required yet the travelling time exceeded the actual fitting time!
