I would like to sincerely thank the postman who delivered a parcel (delicate plants) to me on Friday 15th April. I was out at an early morning hospital appointment so was out when he first called. As my neighbours were also out he left me a card to collect parcel on Saturday. However to my surprise at 1400 hrs approx. He turned up at my address with the parcel, saying he had finished his round and saw that I was in so delivered the parcel.
This is the type of service that I consider outstanding and the individual should be praised for his thoughtfulness and community spirit.
It is a sad reflection that this was the expected standard of service 50 years ago.
