At this time of festive parcel delivery galore. You would expect the delivery operatives to be a little more vigilant with providing the correct information! 3 weeks ago, I had a delivery card though my door; Did it contain a tracking number?.......No Did it contain the correct holding office?......No Was it on the right card in the first place?.....No After visiting my local post office and being told it was not there and without a tracking number they were could do nothing. I tried figure out which of my 20 parcels it was, I managed to narrow it down to one. I contacted the sender and found the tracking number. Yeh......I began to get de-ja-vu. I am sure this had happened before! I again spoke to the post office...no not there.....I then contacted the royal mail....they told me it was at my local sorting office, you guessed it! it was at my local post office (which closed its sorting office 2 years ago) Obviously no one told the Royal Mail customer service team! The sad thing is, this has happened before. Exactly the same. No Tracking number and wrong card. On both occasions, it has taken me three weeks to track down the parcel. I haven't even picked this one up yet. I still have that adventure to come. Would I rate my local delivery service....not a chance!

I waited in a cue for what must have been 30 mins only to be told that my Manchester Airport photo I.D. card wasn't sufficient photo I.D. but my bank card was! How does my bank card prove who I am?!? My photo I.D. card is good enough proof of who I am for a security concious airport but not for collecting a parcel from Royal Mail! Poor Service!
