Samuel Green Electrical

First of all, I need to apologise to Samuel, as I have praised him and his work so much to others, that I actually thought I had written this review.

I last worked as an electrician approximately 40 years ago, so realised my credentials were well out of date, hence relying on Samuels expertise. I will definitely use him again for any future tasks and can highly recommend him for any work you may have in mind. He is refreshingly skilful, knowledgeable, diligent, respectful, and accommodating.



Samuels contact details were passed onto us following work he had completed in my neighbours house; a good starting point, and recommendation.

From the initial contact, Samuel explained what was required, his availability, expected timeframe, as well as providing a detailed quote. Anything he identified as the work progressed was also brought to our attention and options before moving forward.

Due to other work we had ongoing in the house, between June, July and August (2025), Samuel worked around our schedule and completed a raft of activities all to a very high standard. This included installing a new consumer unit, additional lights and sockets (internally and externally), as well as some new requests. Ultimately, performing a full health check, ensuring we were safe and compliant with the current regulations…all backed up with a signed-off electrical certificate.

All his comms were good from the initial calls, emails and texts, we were always kept up to date.

We highly recommend Sam for electrical work. He did a great job installing new wall sockets, an outdoor light, smoke and heat detectors . He is reliable, honest, trustworthy and safety conscious.

We have now used Sam for quite a few jobs over the past couple of years. Sam is extremely reliable, hard working and honest. We have had no issues with any of the jobs he did. We have now recommended him to a few people and everyone has been as happy as us. We would totally recommend Sam to anyone looking.

Sam is an excellent tradesman, very accommodating, flexible and thorough. Estimates are accurate, and his pricing is fair. Pleased to have him in the house, and happy to leave him to carry on when we're out. Will use again and recommend him. NB his height and tall ladders are a bonus too!

Sam is a capable electrician who is serious and conscientious about the job and particularly about the safety of electrical circuits. He turns up when promised, works diligently, takes his time to do a quality job, tidies up after he has finished and charges a reasonable rate. I would recommend him to others.

Brilliant service, highly recommended

I originally contracted with Sam to carry out a couple of smaller jobs for me but upon checking my lighting cabling in turned out that the whole lighting circuit needed to be upgraded!! His quote for the whole job was very reasonable so I was happy to ask him to take on the additional, larger job. Sam turned up on time, explained things thoroughly and made sure I was happy with any options. The work was carried out within the estimated time frame and he did not go off and do other jobs whilst he was working at mine. I have already recommended Sam to a work colleague :-)

We moved into a new house and were recommended Sam's services by a friend.
The house needed a new main board, sockets recessed, new sockets to suit our needs and sockets and lights installed in the garage. I also took Sam's advice on various possibilities for a charging point for my hybrid electric car.
During Sam's testing he found several faults with the wiring in the house, resolved them and ensured our house's electrical safety which gives us a great peace of mind.
I am extremely pleased with his technical knowledge, communication, reliability, quality of work done and cost involved.

Sam is literally on our doorstep, living only a few doors away and I saw his ad on his car so called and got a quote. His was extremely well priced and is not VAT registered so you already save 20% on those who are VAT registered.
Sam turns up when he says he will, he is very knowledgeable and professional in his approach and he is extremely safety conscious.
We have had a lot of work completed by him and will be using him again for out other apartment - we simply wouldn't trust anyone else now with something quite so important.

Sam had been recommended to me by three others which was very encouraging. Our wiring had not been checked professionally since we moved into our property so I was very happy he did a full test on our system before he started the work. As we had 4 separate fuse boxes, due to various extensions done in the past, Sam consolidated the 2 oldest fuse boxes into a new consumer unit before installing a new socket into a bedroom and also a roof light with switch into a cupboard. He kept us informed at all times and provided expert advice when required. I then asked him to fit an outside light to our property, which he did with ease. He provided a very prompt and reliable service on both occasions, his work was very tidy and very well priced. I wouldn't hesitate to use Sam again and would definitely recommend him to others in the future.

Very reliable, always shows up on time, does a neat job and leaves the place clean and tidy.

I've used Sam for a couple of substantial domestic jobs in the past -- including partial rewiring and a new consumer unit -- and am planning to use his services again soon for some fairly major work. I can't recommend Sam enough -- on each occasion he has been helpful, prompt, and reliable; and the work itself has been both exemplary and fair-priced. Sam was initially recommended to me by three separate people; in turn, I've recommended him to others and will continue to do so.

After taking out the old kitchen we found some very poor wiring to the previous kitchen sockets. So after Sam's previous good work for me I had him come back and rewire the old sockets and add new sockets to the other side of the kitchen. I also got him to fit a new consumer unit.
