Due to retirement a vacancy has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join the business based in Gateshead.
You must have experience gained from a fast moving environment where prioritising your work load is essential.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
As part of the Credit Control team your duties will include, but not be limited to:
Carry out all credit control duties
Managing debt - ensuring that average debtors days of 30 are maintained.
Debt Collection
Assessing credit risk
Review credit applications and reports to assess financial capability.
Opening and monitoring accounts
Build and maintain great working relationships, total clarity in both party expectations to avoid unwanted delays with invoice payments.
Previous experience within credit control is essential and you will have a professional approach to business. A strong telephone manner is essential.
As the ideal candidate, you will be:
Computer Literate
Experience of Credit insurance is essential
Experience of Sage 50 preferred but not essential
Experience of working with the construction industry would be an advantage
Customer service orientated with the ability to manage sometimes difficult conversations
Have an understanding of commercial relationship building with the client base.
Possess excellent IT literacy with solid experience on Excel functionality
