Buttercups Pre-school

Buttercups prepare children for primary school following the DfE Early Years Foundation Stage Education framework. Operating from a historic village hall in a rural setting there are many opportunities for taking the children for walks to study nature and the changing seasons, in addition to feeding the local horses. As well as the hall there is a secure courtyard for all year round outside activities including a playhouse and we also spill out onto the village green for more strenuous activities. Children learn through play in a caring, safe and fun learning environment. All staff hold Childcare qualifications and also, as a minimum, have been trained in Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid and Food Handling. Flexible hours are offered and Local Authority funding is available for all eligible 3 and 4 year olds and some qualifying 2 year olds. Buttercups is registered for Tax Free Childcare.
