terminating a contract 26th February 2019 12:14 PM

Hopefully people read this post and saves them from learning a very expensive lesson. Thanks again Rebecca.

Wow, I have just looked into this and you are right, business to business contracts are binding there and then and have no cooling off period unless it is built in. That's terrible! This is a serious lesson to us all, and sadly especially you. For that cancellation cost I would consider keeping it and hoping it brought me more business in! This doesn't make Yell look very good really either does it...”

Hi, just off the phone to Yell. It turns out that business to business contracts do not have a cooling off period. However they do have a termination clause but it is rigged heavily in their favour.  Yell would require you to pay 80% of the cost of the contract  to release you from it. I suppose most people don't find out about this until they want to get out of a business contract. Thanks to Rebecca and Steve for answering my post.

Like Steve says just speak to them, legally there will be a cooling off period. And don't feel bad as we've all been there at one time or another! I was signed up to 3 different charity direct debits once upon a time. It's not easy to say no to clever sales people. Good luck with sorting it out. ”

Hi, in the past few days I signed up to a contract with Yell. Kind of fell for the hard sell, I know dumb move. Is there any way of  cancelling this contract? Any advice would be very much appreciated.
