Hours: 8:30 – 5:30 Monday to Friday
Vacancy: Permanent
Due to retirement a vacancy has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join the business based in Gateshead.
You must have experience gained from a fast moving environment where prioritising your work load is essential.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
As part of the Credit Control team your duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Carry out all credit control duties
• Managing debt - ensuring that average debtors days of 30 are maintained.
• Debt Collection
• Assessing credit risk
• Review credit applications and reports to assess financial capability.
• Opening and monitoring accounts
• Build and maintain great working relationships, total clarity in both party expectations to avoid unwanted delays with invoice payments.
Previous experience within credit control is essential and you will have a professional approach to business. A strong telephone manner is essential.
As the ideal candidate, you will be:
• Computer Literate
• Experience of Credit insurance is essential
• Experience of Sage 50 preferred but not essential
• Experience of working with the construction industry would be an advantage
• Customer service orientated with the ability to manage sometimes difficult conversations
• Have an understanding of commercial relationship building with the client base.
• Possess excellent IT literacy with solid experience on Excel functionality
