Business information

Concrete and Stone Solutions is a highly professional, cost-effective service specialising in natural stone and concrete grinding and polishing, as well as cleaning and restoration.

With our years of experience, high-end equipment and outstanding knowledge of our craft, we are able to provide customers all over the UK with a quick, efficient service that leaves the floors in their home or commercial establishment looking better than ever.

Our Services

Concrete and natural stone floorings are a great addition to any room, but they can lose their lustre and become dull and worn over time. They are also prone to scuffs, scrapes and stains that tarnish the overall look and can be tricky to remove without professional guidance.

That’s why we offer a wide range of solutions to clean, grind & polish or restore your concrete or stone flooring:

Stone Floor Cleaning and Restoration

Stone floorings or worktops like marble and granite are popular because of their glossy sheen and sophisticated look, but they can become dull and worn without proper care. General wear and tear may create an uneven surface or wear down seals, seals may become damaged, staining could occur, or you may run into issues with the grouting. All of these issues can impact the overall look of your floor or worktop but can be difficult to rectify without the help of a professional.

Concrete and Stone Solutions can help. We will assess your floor or worktop before determining the best process to produce optimum results. This may include stripping, polishing and sealing the surface until its original, beautiful condition is restored.

We’ve restored a wide range of natural stone floors and worktops, but some of the most popular include:

  • Marble floor restoration
  • Limestone floor restoration
  • Travertine floor restoration
  • Granite floor restoration
  • Slate floor restoration

Each of these stone types comes with its own set of issues, and each should be treated accordingly. Our extensive knowledge of all natural stone floorings enables us to use the correct methods and products to ensure your floor, whatever the material, is beautifully and correctly restored.

Polished Concrete

Polished concrete is incredibly popular in domestic and commercial settings alike due to its high levels of durability and attractive finish.

Polished Concrete is:

  • Low maintenance – with its polished surface and protective sealant, this flooring is immune to most scuffs, scrapes and stains, meaning that maintenance costs are dramatically reduced. It also won't lose its shine over time!
  • Safe – despite its glossy sheen, polished concrete is no more slippery than natural stone, so you can rest assured that accidents will be avoided
  • Waterproof – its water-resistant qualities make polished concrete a popular choice for kitchens and bathrooms
  • Hypoallergenic – no dust, no germs, no bacteria

At Concrete and Stone Solutions, we are able to assist with the entire polished concrete process, leaving you with a stunning floor that remain in excellent condition for years to come. We can:

  • Remove self-leathering compounds, incorrect sealants and anything else that may be impacting the overall appearance of your flooring before polishing
  • Grind down and polish existing flooring to achieve that sought-after sheen
  • Assist with new installation of concrete or underfloor heated concrete to then be polished to perfection

Ultima Polished Concrete

We are also able to offer services in Ultima Polished Concrete. Ultima Polished Concrete is far less dense than natural concrete, making it far more versatile and easier to install into any room over a wide variety of existing flooring types. It also comes in a broader range of colours, making it the perfect fit for your home or commercial establishment.

Microcement

Microcement is another excellent alternative to polished concrete and another process that Concrete and Stone Solutions is well versed in. With its reduced density (2-3mm), fast-curing properties and fashionable finish, microcement is fast-becoming one of our most popular flooring requests.

Natural Stone Floor Grinding

Over time, natural stone flooring can become pitted, cracked and uneven, which can lead to chipped edges, damage to furnishings and may even cause some unsafe trip hazards. Stone floor grinding is the perfect solution – it is a quick, highly effective process that will completely level out your flooring and restore it to its former glory.

Once the grinding process is complete, Concrete and Stone Solutions will polish it to a finish of your choice, ranging from matte to mirror.

Floor Preparation

Preparing the foundations for your new concrete floor is a vital part of the process and will have a direct impact on the finished product. When old flooring is removed, debris like old glue or carpet fixings can be left behind.

Concrete and Stone Solutions will clear, clean, grind and polish the existing surface so that it is spotless and beautifully even, ready for your new flooring to be laid.

Tiles and Grout

Concrete and Stone solutions are also proud to be able to offer a tiling restoration service. As tiles come in such a wide variety of materials, it is essential to treat each one in accordance with their specific needs and properties. We specialise in restoring:

  • Porcelain tiles – porcelain tiles can lose their shine over time, often due to a build-up of household cleaning products. We use specialist stain removal treatments to rectify this.
  • Ceramic tiles – ceramic tiles can be prone to staining, and many are often damaged by abrasive scrubbing materials. Again, Concrete and Stone Solutions uses gentle but effective products to restore ceramic tiles.
  • Quarry tiles – quarry tiles are unique in their appearance but can also hold onto oil-based cleaning products, making them appear grubby and dull. We strip and re-seal quarry tiles to remove build-up and prevent future issues.

Concrete and Stone solutions always puts its customers first. With our extensive range of services and passion for each and every project we undertake, we really do go above and beyond to provide each customer with the best services possible.

Artur has transformed our old looking, tired limestone floor into a brand new floor. His timekeeping, cleanliness and knowledge have made us extremely happy with the results. I must say our floor looks better than when it was first installed 10 yrs ago.
Amazing work, thank you. I would highly recommend to anybody wanting any natural stone floor restoring.
