Axe Skip Hire was started in 1985 by John Bostock & his wife Jane. They started with just 1 lorry & 20 skips. Over the years John & Jane built up the family business & were joined by their son James in 1997. Today the successful business located in Kilmington, employs 10 staff with 4 Lorries & operates as a Waste Transfer Station. Sadly in 2009 John, lost his 2 year battle against cancer. The business was then passed on to John's son James, who runs the business with the help of his wife Karen. In the last few months of his life John and the family received tremendous support from the Hospiscare team & this has inspired the family to raise awareness & much needed funds for the Charity. The family have been fundraising for Hospiscare since 2009 under the banner of "4 one night only" where over £30,000 has been raised for the Axminster Friends of Hospiscare. John took great pride in both his work and staff and would be proud to see how the team have helped & supported James, Jane & Karen
