The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, is based at Coventry Airport in Baginton.
The U.K's leading Air Ambulance, using an Augusta 109E Power helicopter covers Coventry, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire as a first response and offers assistance to other counties including Leicestershire, Oxfordshires, Bedfordshire and Birmingham.
The only Air Ambulance in the Midlands to fly with a doctor on board, this Charity is totally funded by Charitable donations and receives nothing from the Government or National lottery.
The service has 12 Doctors, 12 Paramedics & 3 Pilots which service a population of around 1.1 million people. In the three years it has been operating, it has flown over 5500 missions. With an ever-increasing callout rate of between 120 and 150 callouts per month, the WNAA is the busiest air ambulance in the UK.
